Milwich All Saints Staffordshire
Parish Register Transcripts
Parts 1-3 - 1573-1900
It consists of three parts:
Milwich Part I ,1573 – 1711, first published by us in October 1904, and was edited by Walter Noble Landor. It has been re-typed by Marion Hall, incorporating corrections and the addition of entries which were omitted from the original publication, and also including a list of clandestine marriages, performed by the Revered Thomas Beech, vicar of Milwich, in 1699-70.
From 1642 to 1684 many pages of the register are badly stained resulting in some entries now being partially or totally illegible. In the original publication the wording of many entries and spelling of names was altered, but as far as legibility of the register, or the existence of Bishops Transcripts allow, these are shown in this book as entered in the original source.
Milwich Part 2, 1713 – 1812, was first published by us in 1996. It was transcribed and typed by Kevin Bowers and David Salt. A number of corrections have been made and seven entries which were omitted from the 1996 publication have been added to this book.
Milwich Part 3, 1813 – 1900, was transcribed by Marion Hall in 2012 and is being published for the first time.
