• Wolverhampton and Ironbridge 1898 - Old Ordnance Survey Maps - The Godfrey Edition

One Inch Sheet 153 Wolverhampton & Ironbridge 1898 - published 2001; introduction by Barrie Trinder

This One Inch to the Mile map is split between Shropshire and Staffordshire. Coverage stretches across a busy area, from Oakengates and Dawley eastward to Wednesfield, and from Lilleshall and Teddesley Park southward to Wolverhampton. The latter, of course, is much the largest town on the map, which also covers several of the small towns and urban villages that now make up Telford, including Ironbridge, Coalport and Hadley. On the reverse is an extract from Staffordshire Sheet 50.03, covering the centre of Penkridge in detail, complete with a short commercial directory.
