This publication first appeared in 1975 as Bulletin No. 24 of North East Branch of the Wesley Historical Society, and was broadcast that same year as a series of talks produced by Virtue Jones for BBC Radio Newcastle. Both these events were of course associated with the 150th anniversary of the Stockton & Darlington Railway.
