This compilation of postcards gives a guided tour of the main thoroughfares of Birmingham city centre. Eric Armstrong was born (1923) raised and educated in Birmingham, where he lived, apart from periods as an evacuee and later as a soldier, until 1967. He has gathered together pictures of many of Birmingham's favourite day-trip destinations from the earlier years of this century, including The Lickeys, Sutton Park, The Botanical Gardens and Dudley Zoo
