Map in good condition.

Tunstall has changed. Walking around the streets of this map the visitor is so confounded by the changes that at times he scarcely knows where he stands. If streets have not been bulldozed or re-routed, they have been renames; iron works and mines have gone completely, and potteries so transmogrified that only the purpose remains the same; churches and chapels have gone or lost their use; railway branches have been closed long since, even the main line takes a different route, but dual carriageways plough their brutal furrow wherever the Ministry decrees; only in Market Square, it seems, has time stood still, the clock towner looking benignly across at the Town Hall - until you realise that the place where they stand is now called Tower Square
