This war-time publication was part of a series of five pictorial books. In number three, the first eight chapters look at the history of and present-day (1944) farming practices, with a final ninth chapter by Vicars W. Bell that encourages readers to 'look around for yourself' at their own surroundings.
First edition, iii, 96pp., card covers, (12 x 18 cm). Inscribed on free front endpaper without signatures, 'With the authors' compliments: May1944 -'. The spine tail has a small tear. Book shows signs of fading and slight discoloration from ageing but is otherwise in very good condition. No internal markings beyond inscription. Spine very much intact.
