Gentleman's Magazine Index (1731 - 1786) - Vol 1, By Samuel Ayscough 

This index to the first 49 years of Gentleman's magazines was prepared by the British Record Society in 1891. It is a particularly useful index as it includes the christian and surname as well as the town in which the person was living. The other name indexes for the Gentleman's Magazine published in 1789 and 1821 are only surname indexes. Kindly loaned to the project by BMSGH.
