Heraldic Design: A Handbook for Students

Heather Child

Published by G. Bell and Sons, London, 1965

First edition No ISBN

Although Child's handbook may be a classic guide on how to produce heraldic art, it would be a great sourcebook for anyone studying arts, crafts, architecture, or history. With 32 plates and 116 beautifully intricate drawings, the history and craft of heraldic design comes alive, thanks to the expertise of the author. Child studied at the Chelsea School of Art and became known for her work on ornamental maps, calligraphy, botanical illustrations, as well as heraldic art.
