 Written by the historian John Keay, the book traces 3,000 years of history of the spice trade and its global reach, with well over 100 beautiful illustrations, several maps, and a select bibliography for further reading. 

Orange-silk covered hardcover, with gilt decorations on the front cover and titling on the spine, and its own beautifully illustrated slipcase, (27cm x  20cm)  xi, 302 pp. Book and slipcase are in Near Fine condition, showing some very light rubbing on the back silk cover and faint scuffing on slipcase ends.
