Would you like some help with your research?

Do you have ancestors in the counties of Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire and need help with investigating local aspects of your family research?  Midland Ancestors Family History Society will undertake genealogical research on your behalf. Research may well involve going to local record offices where the county archives are kept. 

How much does it cost?

• First hour free for members
• £10 per hour thereafter
• Plus researcher’s expenses including postage and travel.

How does it work:

1. Firstly, make an enquiry providing as much detail as possible so we can provide a quotation
2. If acceptable, please make payment in advance
3. There is a minimum fee of £20. 
4. If the research looks like it will take longer than we anticipated, we will contact you for additional payment before further research is undertaken.
5. Charges are payable even if the research is unsuccessful.

Once we have received your enquiry, we will contact you if we require more information and will then provide a quote, if acceptable, you then pay the fee and one of our researchers will be assigned the task.

Please note that we cannot give timings on research as it depends on volunteer availability and the complexity of the research.
