This is a Calendar (i.e. a list of cases) existing Quarter Sessions papers held in Worcestershire County records for the period 1591-1643. Here's a couple of typical enteries:-16 January1601. Recognizance before Sir John Pakington by Anthony Steaton of Bewdley and Henry Allen of Rock for the appearance of the said Anthony at the next muster. III. 31 January 1601. Recognizance before Gervase Bishop of Worcester and Richard Eedes S.T.P. by George Whooper and Thomas Russell of Grimley Yeomen for the well ordering by Hugh Cooke of his Ale-house. III. 19. Included is a name index, so it is easy to find any relevant entries. Useful early source. Kindly loaned to the project by Brierley Hill Library.
