When the UK joined the war in September, 1939, many schoolchildren were evacuated from the cities to the countryside, including in Warwickshire. After the Coventry Blitz in November, 1940, more children from Coventry joined those already sent to the village of Warmington. In this slim volume, sixteen evacuees recount their memories of evacuation, village life, and experiences during the Second World War.
