Born in Norwich in 1675 and educated at Caius College, Cambridge, Clarke is best known as an English philosopher and Anglican cleric. This biography examines in detail his involvement with the Trinitarian Controversy in the years 1712-14, 1715-19, and 1719-1729 (I and II). The book also looks at Clarke's early life, writings, the Boyle Lectures, his inner circle and more.
