Originally published in 1889, this dictionary contains over 2,500 illustrations and 130 pages of terms with definitions at the back of the book. There are 46 plates containing multiple intricate drawings of animals, birds, knots, crowns, leaves/trees - with their names or descriptions on the opposing page. For those studying heraldry, it is a must-have book.

This first edition hardback (18.5cm x 28cm)  by Heraldry Today has approximately 250 pp. (pages with plates and descriptions are not numbered).  It is in good condition with only some fading to the spine, bends to the top of the dust jacket (covered in plastic) and slight discoloration to the back.
