The book's list of illustrations alone is impressive: with 178 figures, 286 plates, and six maps - the last map is a fold-out at the back of the book, completely intact, of the townships of West Yorkshire.

This first edition softcover (22 cm x 27.5 cm) has 242 pp. and is in very good condition, with fading to the spine and some discolouration of age to the text block edges.
