This edition has nearly seventy pages of introduction looking at history, debates, and analysis, which is followed by the full translation of the three-part 'The Art of War', an appendix, notes, bibliography and index.

Quarter-bound in cloth with crushed silk sides, and blocked with Chinese calligraphy drawn by Xiaoming Sun. The calligraphy and spine titling are gilt. This hardcover is As New and comes in a plain black slipcase, (28.7cm x  16cm)  xi, 560 pp.
