In Trouble Again: A Journey between the Orinoco and the Amazon

Redmond O'Hanlon

First published by Hamish Hamilton in 1988. This edition published by The Folio Society, London, 2005

Fans of the BBC Race Across the World television programme might find this travel book right up their street. O'Hanlon is as likeable as any contestant on the show and did the trip without a camera crew for backup. Bill Bryson, who wrote the foreword, would agree: 'You find yourself racing through the pages, not simply because the writing is so impossibly entertaining and engrossing, but because you are becoming genuinely concerned about this crazy, likeable, hopelessly optimistic Englishman plunging ever deeper into seriously dangerous conditions, without the least hope of easy extraction.'

Printed on Abbey Wove paper at Grafos S.A., Barcelona, and bound by them in full buckram, printed and blocked with a design by Neil Gower with gilded accents on the spine and front board. Near Fine condition, with a plain green slipcase with very minor scuffing, (24.7cm x 17cm), vii-xi, 309pp.
