Recollections of Childhood in Kidderminster

During the Autumn meetings of the Kidderminster & District Archaeological & Historical Society in 1993, members were asked to write down their early memories of Kidderminster. Memories that were concerned with childhood and schooldays were selected to produce this booklet. Beginning for the most part from the 1920s, recollections include: schools, leisure activities, buildings, businesses, transport etc., together with a selection of appropriate photographs.

The first edition was collated by Richard Warner and published in 1994. It has been out of print for many years.  This digital version was compiled in 2015 and includes a number of amendments based on notes and a list of errata recorded by Richard after the first 1994 Edition had been published. Otherwise, the text and photographs have been left as in the original booklet.
